Expert: As Summer Driving Heats Up, How Safe Are America’s Roads For Your Family?

MANY MANY HIGHWAYS ARE NOT SAFE…

IT COULD BE ONE OF YOUR
CHILDREN NEXT…

SAFETY/TRANSPORTATION ANALYST: Joshua Harman, is one of the nation’s leading voices in highway and transportation safety. He won a landmark whistleblower settlement against the largest guard rail manufacturer in the U.S., Trinity Industries, Inc.

“The summer days are the deadliest on America’s roads, according to a major research group…and this expert says guard rails play a big role.

Yes. Guard rails. Here’s why this matters.

Two years ago, an East Texas jury ruled that Trinity Industries, a Dallas industrial supply company, violated the False Claims Act, a 153-year-old law that allows whistleblowers to sue companies that defraud the U.S. government.

The jury found that Trinity failed to inform federal officials that it had modified its highway guardrail systems, putting American drivers’ lives in danger — a verdict leading to a $663 million judgment against Trinity.

The verdict — the largest in the history of the False Claims Act — and opened the door to a flood of lawsuits that seek billions of dollars in damages against the company.

Since then, Trinity has tried to reverse the decision against Joshua Harman (they’ve already settled with one victim), the judgment recipient and whistleblower behind the scandal.

If you’re interested in this story, Joshua Harman is available to speak candidly on this topic in-depth.”

ABOUT: Joshua Harman is an entrepreneur and activist. He is the co-founder of Selco Construction Services, as well as SPIG Industry LLC, a private Virginia-based company that installs guardrails. Harman is the whistleblower in the lawsuit against Trinity Industries Inc. He sued Trinity on behalf of the government under the qui tam provisions of the False Claims Act in 2012. In October 2014, the jury of the U.S. District Court in Marshall, Texas ruled that Trinity will pay $525 million, the largest whistleblower award won without the assistance of the US Justice Department. In June 2015, the judge awarded Harman over $199 million, or 30 percent of the final settlement of $663 million against Trinity Industries.
