Ilhan Omar Calls AIPAC ‘Problematic’ in Apology for Antisemitic Remarks…

Chuck Schumer: Ilhan Omar’s Intolerant Remarks Have ‘No Place in Congress’…
GOP MUSLIM ANALYST: Omar Qudrat, is the former Political Adviser to the NATO Ambassador, former Department of Defense counter-terrorism prosecutor involved with the USS Cole attack, 9-11 attacks and at GITMO. His parents immigrated to the United States from Afghanistan in the 1970’s.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Monday apologized for antisemitic remarks in which she implied Republicans are being bribed into supporting Israel — but ended her statement by taking a shot at AIPAC, referring to its role in U.S. politics as “problematic.”

“Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes,” Omar said in a statement shared to Twitter. “My intention is never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole. We have to always be willing to step back and think through criticism, just as I expect people to hear me when others attack me for my identity. This is why I unequivocally apologize.”

BIO: Born and raised in Los Angeles to parents who emigrated from Afghanistan in the early 70’s, Omar’s parents instilled in him a belief in self-determination, the value of hard work, and the importance of education. He and his two older sisters attended public schools from K-12 in a gang-infested neighborhood at the height of L.A.’s historic gang violence. His neighborhood was subject to Los Angeles’s second gang injunction. Where others in his neighborhood saw gloom and felt a sense of discouragement about the future, Omar’s family only saw opportunity and the American dream.
