Carry Henn 8/10/2016

Caroline Marie Henn (born on May 7, 1976) is a Saturn Award-winning former child actress, who became famous as Newt, the little girl brought under the protection of Sigourney Weaver’s character Ellen Ripley in the film Aliens, the second installment of the Alien series.

In 1987, Henn won the Saturn Award for “Best Performance by a Younger Actor/Actress”. She was also nominated for the Young Artist Awards that same year. In 2003, Henn was co-nominated for a DVD Exclusive Award for her commentary work on the Alien Quadrilogy box set.

Henn’s father was an non-commissioned officer of the U.S. Air Force, and his duties led the family to relocate to England in the mid-1980s, where Carrie auditioned and got the part of “Newt” in the feature film. Transferred once more to Castle Air Force Base by the time the film premiered, Carrie and her family viewed the film for the first time in a local Merced California movie theatre as guests of the Studio, and UA Theatre chain.

In 1994, Henn graduated from Atwater High School in Atwater, California. She later attended California State University, Stanislaus (CSUS), in Turlock, California, and graduated in 2000 with a BA in liberal studies. In 2005, Carrie married Nathan Kutcher, a fellow classmate of Henn’s at CSUS who also graduated in 2000, with a BA in criminal justice. He is now a police officer.

Henn is now an elementary school teacher. She resides in Atwater.
