“I literally couldn’t take it,” says Roger Homefield, Singer, Writer and Trombonist. “Trump has been right all along; Freedom of Speech is the American Way and I took my frustration straight to the recording studio.”
Twisted Sister’s legendary front man and songwriter Dee Snider has been making his own headlines recently- unhappy that his 1984 hit has been popular among pro-Trumpers. But Homefield says “He should kiss the American soil where he became a star and made riches, while most great musicians never got the recognition they deserved. I imagine he is grateful for making it in America and would be happy we’re keeping his song out there.”.
Homefield’s last parody, “That’s Why We Need To Bring Back Trump,” crooned to Sinatra’s “Lady is a Tramp” and was a collaboration with lyricist Sandy Koplowitz.
“We create parodies as “musical weapons,” Homefield continued. “We want to educate Democrats and I want to help. I’m passionate about what is happening and about defending Donald Trump.”
Homefield was a lead jazz trombonist who toured with the Buddy Rich Big Band and Stan Kenton and Maynard Ferguson orchestras. Many know Homefield from his Many know Homefield as Joe Citizen, Host of The Joe Citizen Show and his 19-piece jazz orchestra and musical variety act, which had a 15-year run on major cruise lines and Atlantic City’s Showboat.
