TRAVEL BOOM 2018!
GO TO THE SUPERBOWL FOR LESS?
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO WITH
YOUR TRUMP BONUS?
TRAVEL/ECONOMICS ANALYST: Tim Hentschel, CEO of HotelPlanner.com has compiled an all-star list of hotels and events that will make any NFL fan drool over the affordability of attending Super Bowl 52.
There is already a 5% in increase in hotel bookings nationwide in 2018, leading Tim to believe that the stock market boom and the President’s tax cuts are leading to a huge increase in corporate and consumer travel and hotel bookings.
Super Bowl travelers who prefer swanky accommodations might be slightly disappointed as all of Minneapolis’s 4-star hotels are sold out, according to HotelPlanner.com’s hotel booking platform.
HotelPlanner.com CEO Tim Hentschel is happy to come on your show to discuss…
#1 – Insights into Super Bowl hotel booking patterns and best practices + some great deals
#2 – Share his top picks for Super Bowl events that will immerse you in the experience without paying sky-high prices to attend the game.
Here are some key takeaways:
There are still plenty of 2 and 3-star hotels near to Minneapolis’s U.S. Bank Stadium that will not break the bank. The average one-night stay runs $312 and $318 respectively (so you should probably splurge for the extra star).
If you want to save a few dollars, consider staying a bit farther from the stadium, in the vicinity of Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). The average 1 night stay at the airport neighborhood’s 2-star hotels is $262; for 3-star hotels expect to pay about $319 a night.
For aggressive cost-cutters: Minneapolis’s neighboring cities offer the best value. Saint Paul, Brooklyn Center, Fridley, and Plymouth offer rooms starting as low as $201 a night.
Super Bowl Live Presented by Verizon – Free 10 day fan fest at the Nicollet Mall in downtown Minnesota. Fee live concerts, national broadcast activations, food and fun, with nods to winter that showcase Minnesota’s authentic, Bold North brand. Broadway star Idina Menzel, Minnesota music legends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Morris Day and the Time and many others will be performing. There is also going to be a freestyle snowmobile stunts.
