Governors from four states have declared their intentions to opt out of the Medicaid portion of the Obamacare mandate and there are more than a handful of other governors ready to follow suit.
The Supreme Court’s recent ruling made sure that the Federal government cannot punish states for opting out of the adoption of the more generous Medicaid rules created via the President’s health care plan. The governors of Florida, Iowa, Louisiana and South Carolina have already stated their refusal to adopt the new measures. Texas, Wisconsin and others are expected to do the same.
