Is Tunisia undergoing a second Arab Spring?

On Sunday, 25th July 2021, tens of thousands of people across Tunisia demonstrated against the PM and Ennahda (the Muslim Brotherhood party ruling Tunisia). The party’s local headquarters in the south-western city of Touzeur was set on fire.

Tunisia’s main political parties have accused president Kais Saied of staging a coup on Sunday after he sacked the prime minister and suspended parliament.

In the early hours of Monday, the speaker of parliament, Rached Ghannouchi, who leads Ennahda, tried to get into the legislature, but he was blocked by Mr Saied’s supporters, with the backing of the armed forces. He and his own loyalists staged a sit-down protest.

As usual, the Western media and politicians who do not bother to do real investigations of events, are again missing the fundamentals of the Tunisian crisis. There is a most interesting video of the confrontation between Ghannoushi and the armed forces when he addressed the officers blocking his entry to parliament telling them:

“I, as well as you (armed forces), have sworn allegiance to the constitution” to which the officer and other demonstrators replied “No, we swore allegiance to the Homeland/Nation (al Watan)”; meaning, to protect the rights of the people not political parties. After all, the Constitution can and on many occasions was changed by politicians to suit themselves, but the Homeland is indivisible; it does not change.

The president asserted that he acted in accordance with the constitution. Whether or not this is a fact is debatable, depending on which side of the coin one is.

What Americans, Europeans and other world leaders are wilfully ignoring is the fact that the president’s move is supported not only by the frustrated and disgusted Tunisian people but also by the armed forces.

This may be a repeat performance of what happened in Egypt in 2013, when 30,000,000 Egyptians demonstrated at the same time all over the country also against the Muslim Brotherhood led government of Muhammad Morsi, allowing the armed forces under then defence minister Abd al Fattah al Sisi, to take over in July 3rd 2013.

Contrary to Western politicians and news media, this was not a Coup ‘d’état, because the military did not overthrow Morsi’s government; it was the Egyptian people who did, with the backing of the military.

Saied’s move, followed Sunday’s violent massive protests over the government’s mishandling of the coronavirus outbreak and the economic and social turmoil.

Late on Monday, dismissed PM Hichem Mechichi said he would hand his powers to whoever is appointed by Mr Saied.

Clashes among Mr Saied’s supporters and opponents continued on Monday in the capital Tunis. They threw stones at each other outside the legislature, which had been barricaded by troops.

In a statement, Mr Mechichi said he did not want to play the role of a “disruptive element”. His comments came amid growing calls from the international community for restraint.

Mr Saied, an independent who was elected in 2019, has had a long-standing feud with Mr Mechichi, who has the backing of the largest party in parliament, the so-called moderate Muslim Brotherhood Ennahda party, that has been misruling Tunisia for the last 10 years.

The president has also sacked the defence and justice ministers.

Tunisia’s revolution in 2011 is often held up as the sole success story of the Arab Spring revolts across the region – but it has not led to political and economic stability.

Tunisia has had nine governments since the 2011 revolution, many of them short-lived or fractured.

Covid is only one factor in the unrest. After all, it was the deep-rooted problems of unemployment and the crumbling infrastructure that were behind the original uprising in 2013 which have not been resolved, because the politicians failed miserably to address these issues for the last 10 years.

The recent spike in Covid cases has fuelled long-standing public anger. The health minister was sacked last week after a failed vaccination drive.

Coronavirus-related deaths reached a record for the country last week, passing 300 in one 24-hour period. Tunisia has one of the highest per capita death rates in the world.

Vaccinations have been slow: only 7% of the 11.7 million population are fully vaccinated.

In a televised address, Mr Saied said: “We have taken these decisions… until social peace returns to Tunisia and until we save the state.”

He vowed to respond to any violence with military force.

Mr Saied said he will now govern alongside a new PM, with parliament suspended for 30 days.

For the sake of the Tunisian people and stability, the military may continue to side with the president and allow him 30 days to find a prime minister and a functioning government; otherwise, one of their officers may emulate al Sisi of Egypt and establish a military government.

Most of those who were interviewed after these events, said they feel like fresh hope after years of chaotic governance. After all – many pointed out with a lot of satisfaction – with the backing of the armed forces, there will be less chance of violent confrontations by the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters.

If a truly functioning and stable government can be put together, remains to be seen. Whatever will happen in Tunisia, will have an enormous impact on many Arab states

Biden: How to Alienate Allies and Embrace Enemies

Biden will be remembered as the most destructive president in the history of the Republic who, because of his utter stupidity and extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome is and has already alienated several of the most important allies of the USA, while embracing several of the deadliest.

His utter contempt for truth and reality is not only frightening but downright insanity.

For almost 47 years Biden told the American people that China was not a threat. Russia is. His observations were disconnected from the realities on the ground.

  1. A)China is an economic colossus with at least 330 million Middle Class equal to the US population.
  2. B)It is not only a stupendous industrial power but also a huge market for all American products such as Nike and others who have recently learned that if they, in any way shape or form, point out to the world, anything that the Communist Party deems offensive, these American companies would suffer catastrophic financial losses.
  3. C)He said this while China was and is threatening all her neighbours in SouthEast Asia from India to Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and others
  4. D)Also, while they were militarizing small atolls and turning them into Chinese territorial and maritime entities
  5. E)While they have been embarking on a huge expansion of all their military assets and branches.

All of a sudden, he realised he was wrong (and Trump was of course correct) and now considers China the foremost threat to the USA in the present and future. So much so, that his CIA and State Department are threatening Israel and the Gulf Arabs to tone down their relations with China. With Israel especially, since it has very good rapport with China so far, not to supply China with any military assets, share technologies or expand their relationship with China.

From America’s point of view these are reasonable requests from their friends and allies, against its worst competitor, China. All understandable except that Biden is in the meantime empowering all those regimes who are enemies of Israel and the Sunni Gulf Arabs by unequivocally grovelling to and enhancing the Shia Iranians, the Shia Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Shia militias in Iraq.

While Biden is demanding this from America’s allies, they are at the same time being stabbed in the back especially since according to Elliott Abrams’ National Review report 12th October 2021; among other disturbing items; he points out

“In another worrisome change, it seems that the CIA, while building up its resources for China, is taking apart those for Iran. The Iran Mission Center is to be dissolved, and its near-legendary leader, Mike D’Andrea, is retiring. The Times reported this: “The appointment in 2017 of Mr. D’Andrea, who had a long career leading operations against Al Qaeda and other terrorist targets, was a sign of the Trump administration’s hard line on Iran. And inside the C.I.A., Mr. D’Andrea helped craft a more muscular approach against Tehran.”

Yes, indeed — so what is the message being sent now? Clearly, that less attention will be given to Iran and that a softer approach is desired.

This is exactly the wrong moment to send such a message. Iran is violating not only the Obama Iran deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), every day, but also the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and continues to refuse the International Atomic Energy Agency access that is required of every NPT signatory. As is becoming clearer by the day, Iran is not intending to return to the JCPOA, and the new government of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani is taking a far harder line.

At this exact moment, it seems dangerously unwise to make bureaucratic moves that signal a softer line on the Iranian threat and less attention to it at the top. Other governments, including that in Tehran, and officials in our own government will see the departure of D’Andrea and the closing of the Iran Mission Center as a message — and it is precisely the wrong message to send right now.

Hence the message to her allies in the Middle East, is that this administration is going full blast to negotiate – at any price – with the terrorist regime and will do so no matter how much of an existential threat Iran is to the security of the Middle East.

From Israel’s and the Sunni Arabs’ points of view this is backstabbing, so why should they submit to such one sided and irrational demands?

Why would a powerful nation such as the USA need to degrade the Iran desk to concentrate on China? Why cannot both desks be operating? Why encourage the Ayatollahs’ most terrorist regime on Earth and alienate the foremost allies of the USA in the Middle East?

Can anyone show a single advantage for the USA negotiating with the duplicitous terrorist Iranian regime? Just one single advantage? Although there is none, yet this demented president has not learned anything from all 47 years in congress and politics.

John F Kennedy once opined “For, in a democracy, every citizen, regardless of his interest in politics, ‘holds office’; every one of us is in a position of responsibility; and, in the final analysis, the kind of government we get depends upon how we fulfil those responsibilities. We, the people, are the boss, and we will get the kind of political leadership, be it good or bad, that we demand and deserve.”

Let me explain to Americans what your corrupt criminally negligent media are not telling you although everything I am revealing in this article is actually in plain sight.

  1. Human Rights: It should be obvious to any fair-minded and logical American that Biden fails totally in identifying who is or is not a violator of Human Rights.

While he attacks the Human Rights violations among the Sunni Arab Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, he never once addressed the egregious failures of Human Rights violations among the Shia Muslims; such as Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Shia militias in Iraq, Hamas and the PA in Gaza and West Bank or the Houthis in Yemen.

  1. Like Obama before him, he totally ignores the demonstrations by Iranians of Arabs (13% of Iran’s population) and Azeris/ Azerbaijanis (30% of Iran’s population) nationalities who are chafing to overthrow the Shia theocratic oppressive regime.

  1. Muslim women rights: Which the youthful Muhammad bin Salman is trying to do in Saudi Arabia but Biden ignores the total subjugation of females in Iran

The disconnect exhibited by Biden between reality and fiction is frightening and all the media should – but of course will not – address these concerns.

By the way, a Muslim murdered FIVE Norwegians with a bow and arrows. Very inventive.

The Norwegian morons are trying to figure out a MOTIVE.

There is an ancient saying “When the gods want to destroy a people, they make them mad” in this case they make them STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Repeated US Intelligence failures

Repeated US Intelligence failures

Can anyone explain how the intelligence services of the USA, with hundreds of billions of assets both human and cyber, repeatedly either underestimate the capabilities of America’s enemies or totally miss them? Unless there is a systemic intellectual and moral malaise that fills the minds of the intelligence services members?

Starting with the ‘Bay of Pigs’ in Cuba; under estimating the time it would tale Russia and China to go nuclear; the Vietnam war; Somalia; the Ayatollahs’ terrorist theocracy (this is continuing as you are reading this article); the Beirut US barracks mass slaughter by a Shia car suicide Jihad bomber; Syria; Iraq; Libya; etc.

Why after 20 years of war in Afghanistan did both the Military Intelligence, the State Department and the CIA not realise that without American air support from Bagram Base, the Afghan national army cannot possibly defeat the Taliban?

Why is it impossible to find a single American general, officer or politician who can easily point out, based entirely on the Islamic scripture, the most obvious item in Muhammad’s Quran:

That it is impossible, and I repeat impossible for any Sharia compliant Muslim to be BOTH a good Muslim and a Loyal citizen among none Muslims/Kuffar/ Infidels?

Also, that Jihad (war against none Muslims; currently 80% of humanity) is mandated in Muhammad’s Quran; hence cannot either be ignored by Muslims nor ever changed?

Al Baqara 2.216: “Jihad (holy fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.”

In innumerable verses in Muhammad’s Quran and Hadiths Jihad means only ONE thing:

“Physical Warfare in the cause of Allah”, in Arabic it is: “Qital fi Sabil^Allah”

Einstein once opined that “the sign of insanity is for someone to repeat exactly the same failed experiment expecting a different result”

This is exactly why American military adventures in any Muslim land will end up in total failure, from Lebanon’s US barracks mass murder by a Jihad bomber, to Somalia, Iraq, Syria, libya and Afghanistan.

The single and paramount reason for these failures is the obvious fact that those in command have never bothered to study and enter the mind of their enemies whether Muslims, Vietnamese, Chinese or whoever else.

To defeat any enemy one must know what motivates it, what emboldens it and what frightens it. Thus avoid its strengths and concentrate upon its weaknesses. Act decisively, overwhelmingly and speedily and try one’s utmost not to extend the conflict. The enemy must be dealt a deadly and massive blow in the shortest possible time.

Biden’s grovelling to the Ayatollahs’ terrorist regime is beyond comprehension and beneath contempt since they will get the Atom bomb no matter Israel’s and America’s threats.

Threats are words not deeds. Only present and immediate action will determine whether or not the Iranians will be allowed to have a deliverable bomb. At the moment, a ‘woke’ America military are not even capable of protecting the US borders let alone confronting a determined enemy. The USA is a naked target at the moment, and it will be innocent civilians who will pay the ultimate price for the gross betrayal by all its leaders to protect them from evil, starting with Joe Biden, the Traitor in Chief.

Why have the US Intelligence services – according to the latest reports today, underestimated China’s Hypersonic missile advances?

“China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile in August that circled the globe before speeding towards its target, demonstrating an advanced space capability that caught US intelligence by surprise.

Five people familiar with the test said the Chinese military launched a rocket that carried a hypersonic glide vehicle which flew through low-orbit space before cruising down towards its target…

…The test has raised new questions about why the US often underestimated China’s military modernisation.

We have no idea how they did this,” said a fourth person”

When the US has no idea how the Chinese are doing something militarily, that’s most definitely not a good sign for the US’s long-term dominance. It’s also a disgusting sign when ‘woke’ US generals are obsessed with Racial Identity Politics instead of readiness.

While China is taking this new cold/hot war seriously, by surpassing US Naval Power in the Pacific and creating the most modern military machine in the 21st century; at the same time, the utterly stupid and criminally negligent US military leaders tweet about gay pride, the colour of nail polish and the power of diversity.

It is impossible to know how far behind the US Hypersonic research is, not only vis a vis China, but also Russia and now North Korea. What Americans should realise is the reality on the ground, that they will not best China, their top threat, by prioritizing Critical Race Theory and targeting their recruitment at anxiety-ridden culture warriors.

There needs to be a very urgent and immediate reset within the US military. Tragically for the USA and Americans, since the rot starts with the head, Joe Biden, the incompetent and missing Commander in Chief, nothing will change unless this administration is removed from office in the next 3 years, by which time, unfortunately, it will be too late.
