New Year, New Book. CRADLE OF ICE hits shelves on Feb. 7th!
Thanks to everyone who joined me on the first excursion into the Moonfall Saga! With the world established and the band of heroes gathered, the second book in the cycle—THE CRADLE OF ICE— pulls out all stops. In this second book, the world opens further as war breaks out, and the team is divided: one group must contend with the machinations, treacheries, and bloodshed as kingdom fights empire; the other heads into the sunless ice in a quest to uncover a secret buried for untold millennia.
Like many second journeys, this novel is a dark mirror that reflects the events in the first book in a new light. Friendships turn to enmity, trust to betrayal, and hope is dashed against harsh reality. It is under such fire that heroes break or are forged stronger. In The Cradle of Ice, every member’s mettle is tested—some shine, some falter, some come to ruin. Still, there is beauty and wonder in both landscape and character. It is where, as an author, I find great joy in storytelling: to find light in darkness, heroes in monsters, and hope in the most unexpected of places.
