In “Bring Home the Bacon” you’ll learn Larry Tracy’s S3P3 System for delivering persuasive presentations that resulted in President Ronald Reagan calling him “An extraordinarily effective speaker.” This easily-learned method can be used in any speaking situation.

The book flows from Larry’s “been there, done that” experience in high-pressure speaking situations. He is a retired Army colonel who served as Senior Intelligence Briefer to the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS) in various crises during the Cold War.

The White House later detailed him to the State Department to debate controversial issues before demanding audiences throughout the country.

He’s been cited as one of the top speech coaches in the US in the books Information Please Business Almanac and Sourcebook, Best of the Best, and What to Say When You’re Dying on the Platform.

In Bring Home the Bacon, you’ll learn to
• Make “fear of public speaking” your ally by using it to generate enthusiasm
• Draft your presentation backwards to develop coherence and focus
• Gain from your mistakes with a practice method similar to a “flight simulator”
• Acquire “intelligence” on the problems of audience members so you can solve them
• Use non-verbals-body language and voice-to reinforce your message
• Employ “Shortcuts to Eloquence” to make you appear to be an experienced speaker
• Answer questions in such a way that you increase your credibility with the audience
• Avoid “Death by PowerPoint” while using the program to enhance your presentation

Why We Must Destroy Bagram Air Base
Regarding  “A Dishonest Afghan Accounting,” Review & Outlook, September 1, I would like  to add a point:  The need to destroy Bagram Air Base in order to deprive China-the Taliban’s new benefactor-from using it to project its military influence in the region as well as a concrete  symbol that it is has replaced the US as the preeminent foreign power in the Middle East. A few “mother of all bombs” would do the trick.
Abandoning  Bagram will  go down as one of the greatest military blunders in American history. Located  thirty miles from Kabul, the US,with more troops temporarily deployed, could have created a secure route to the base for Americans and SIV holders, warning the Taliban not to  interfere  or they would be killed. Instead,  Biden’s national  security team inexplicably chose to evacuate from Kabul airport, ceding control of airport access to the Taliban. This, of course, resulted in chaos and, the death  of thirteen service members who would not have been killed if they were at Bagram.

President Ronald Reagan described Larry Tracy as “An extraordinarily effective speaker.” He was an Army colonel assigned to the State Department to debate controversial US foreign policy issues throughout the country.

He is now cited as one of the top presentation skills trainers/coaches in the country in publications such as the Information Please Business Almanac and Sourcebook, published by Houghton-Mifflin, Best of the Best, published by Insight Publishing, and What to Say When… You’re Dying on the Platform, published by McGraw-Hill.

Larry’s recently-published e-book Bring Home the Bacon: How to Deliver Persuasive Presentations That Get “Buy-in” From ANY Audience outlines his unique S3P3 System which he developed while debating those controversial policy issues in front of some of the most demanding, often hostile, audiences in the country. It was the feedback President Reagan received that resulted in his praise for Larry.

He conducts presentation skills workshops for corporations and government agencies, and trains corporate teams how to deliver winning oral presentations for government and commercial contracts. His coaching is not derivative classroom theory, but instead flows from his “real-world” experience.

He served as Chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Presentations Branch–the Pentagon’s top briefing team–responsible for daily intelligence presentations to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  He supervised and coordinated over 500 of these multi-media, multi-screen briefings, and delivered almost 100 of them personally. Because of his speaking skills, the White House directed the Army to detail him to the State Department.
