Rock Memorabilia Auction – items from Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Axl Rose, Stevie Nicks, Bob Marley & more

AXS TV will launch a brand new music memorabilia series, “Rock My Collection,” hosted by Ahmet Zappa with Co-Host Appraiser Stephen Braitman on Sunday August 15, 2021 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. The series showcases unique Items such as Elvis’ Bank Loans, a Map of Italy Signed by Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty’s Scooter, and Brian Wilson’s Driver’s License, as well as pieces signed during each episode by iconic guests Including shock rock pioneer Alice Cooper, beloved Heart founder Nancy Wilson, 4 Non Blondes founder Linda Perry, alt-rock hero Gavin Rossdale, metal guitarist and Korn co-founder James “Munkey” Shaffer, and rock renaissance man Todd Rundgren.

Ahmed Zappa is available for interviews through Friday, September 10, 2021 after 11 am ET / 8 am PT. I would love to send you a screener of the show and schedule an interview with Mr. Zappa. If there is interest, please respond with a preferred date and time.

Through a unique auction partnership. viewers will be able to bid on these pieces via the Rock My Collection site, with proceeds from the celebrity items going to the National Independent Venues Foundation (NIVF), benefiting the invaluable small music venues and personnel who have been impacted by COVID.

Collectors are invited into the studio each week, joining both in-person and zooming in from their private collection spaces, to showcase their prized memorabilia, share their personal acquisition stories, learn more about the history behind each piece, and ultimately find out its potential value. Ranging from weird and rare to deeply personal and possibly even priceless, the series highlights notable items including:

a copy of Yoko Ono’s book, Grapefruit, signed by Ono and John Lennon on the day he died
Stevie Nicks’ stage-used microphone from Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours tour complete with remnants of her lipstick
an Italian roadmap signed by guitar great Jimi Hendrix
handwritten lyrics signed by late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton
a zombie suit from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video
a cymbal signed and played by Nirvana
Bob Marley’s first 45, released as “Bobby Martel”
love letters written by Axl Rose
Ahmet Zappa is an entrepreneur, NY Times Best Selling Author, film and television screenwriter, director, producer, musician, inventor and the radio talk show host of Rocktails on SiriusXM. He runs the extensive Frank Zappa estate through the Zappa Trust as co-Trustee and manages and administers all assets of the Zappa Trust’s business.

Joining Zappa on this entertaining musical odyssey is Stephen M.H. Braitman of MusicAppraisals.com, an accredited senior appraiser affiliated with the American Society of Appraisers, who specializes in music archives and memorabilia and has worked directly with many notable artists and estates. Her name is BUEL. She already released a single Lemon Smile, in 2020 ; the song and the video caught the attention of major radio stations and blogs.

As she works on her debut EP, she is now releasing an unexpected cover of Nirvana’s « Smell like teen spirit ». The song was covered many times… but her version is a beautiful demonstration of her distinct style and talent.

Today sees Ricky Warwick release his first solo record in five years with ‘When Life Was Hard And Fast’. To celebrate the release of the new album, Ricky has also released a lyric video for the album’s closing track ‘You’re My Rock And Roll’ – a bombastic ode to the powerful, majestic and life affirming addiction that is rock ‘n’ roll.

For the process of recording the album, Ricky was joined by Robert Crane (Bass), Xavier Muriel (Drums) and Keith Nelson (Guitar) as well as a number of special guests including Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott, Andy Taylor formerly of Duran Duran, Thunder’s Luke Morley, Dizzy Reed of the mighty Guns ‘N Roses and even Ricky‘s daughter Pepper. Keith also produced the new album, having previously worked with Buckcherry, Blackberry Smoke and Alice Cooper. Keith noted that “Ricky is a true Rock-n-Roll soul… he’s got incredible stories to tell and a unique way of telling them. It’s been an honor to be asked to partner and contribute to this record.”

Metalomaniacs is a metal band from Brazil and they have just launched their first all English Album, called “Last Day On Earth”. They are new to the scene and hitting the ground running, reaching out to all metal heads all across the world! The album was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by the guitarist Pedro Antunes at his own home studio — Panga Studio. He also composed all songs and lyrics and recorded all bass and guitar tracks.

Today the band is formed by Mateus Durans on vocals, Pedro Antunes on guitars, Marcelo Ribeiro on bass, and Cézar Santon on drums. They are already looking forward and have started to plan the second album for next year. Meanwhile, they are recording videos for every song on the album. Once again, directed, produced, and edited by Pedro Antunes.
Genre Description: The new album “Last Day On Earth’ is more like the ’80s and ’90s metal, however, the main concept of the band is to be a maniac for metal. Doesn’t matter the subgenre, they like distortion, and they will play whenever and whatever they want to without compromise.
Influences: Megadeth, Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, Annihilator.
The release date for the album: Last Day On Earth was released on 1st November.
