NAVIGATING THE MEDICARE ANNUAL ELECTION PERIOD

DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

CHOOSING A MEDICARE PLAN FOR 2021 CAN GO WELL WITH THE PROPER KNOWLEDGE AND VIRTUAL RESOURCES

AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEW:

Jeff Fernandez, Segment Vice President, Retail West- Medicare, Humana

BACKGROUND:

People with Medicare need to make an important decision in the coming months, as the Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Annual Election Period (AEP) is here, running from October 15 through December 7.

Selecting a Medicare plan can seem overwhelming, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic, so it’s important people age 65 and over, and those living with disabilities, take the time to research plan options to ensure they select one that suits their individual health needs. While it’s common to have many questions, eligible individuals can take advantage of a variety of resources from the convenience of their home, including informational websites, virtual educational events and meetings with licensed sales agents.

On Tuesday, October 20, Jeff Fernandez of Humana will be available for interviews to help educate Medicare eligible individuals about the Medicare AEP and how to choose the right Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug plan for 2021 safely and securely this year.
