New York’s New Gun Law Borderlines On the Ridiculous, Says Group

Following the overturning of a more than 100-year old gun law in New York, the state has responded with a new law that presents some new restrictions on where the weapon can be carried.

According to various reports, the law will not allow any kind of firearms on all private property unless the owner makes it abundantly clear that they’re allowed, mainly through signs. That flips around what the law used to be, where people that utilized concealed carry were able to bring a weapon onto private property unless the owner had forbidden it.

In addition, the law also states that various public places are now to be gun free, including churches, bars, restaurants with any kind of alcohol, public parks, government buildings, colleges, and public gathering spots. In essence, those that practice concealed-carry will now basically be allowed to have their weapon on public walks or in their own home.
