#1 Joining us today is Nika Eshetu…She is a Pilates trainer and golf fitness specialist whose practice and
teachings apply the principles of Pilates to all areas of fitness and health. Nika knows first-hand the
benefits of fitness and specifically Pilates. After receiving a kidney transplant, Nika discovered Pilates, a
fitness practice which transformed her body, gave her renewed energy, and helped her reach her fitness
goals that once seemed unattainable.
Welcome to the show Nika, why don’t you first tell us a general biography sketch, where you’re from,
how it was some of these medical issues led to your life getting into Pilates, and exactly how it changed it
your life?
#2 I know Pilates can be a life changing form of exercise, please gives us the exact nature of how it
works, the philosophy behind it and how it started?
#3 In many ways you straddle two worlds, being involved with doctors and transplant teams on one side,
and pushing hard on the other with natural solutions both for yourself and others, kind of like having a
split personality, can you enlighten us on the good and bad of modern medicine from your experience?
#4 Now to the healing, you must have some interesting success stories from your client roster, where you
changed someone’s life, gives a few of the most dramatic and heartwarming tales of healing?
#5 In the realm of golf fitness, which can be hard on the back, is it the Pilates techniques you use, or is it
some other type of exercise therapy?
#6 Nika, you also teach Pilates classes on ocean cruises, that must be lots of fun, how that did that come
about and do people wanting to relax on vacation really want to exercise?
#7 Coming from your own struggles with health and fitness, I imagine it is rather rewarding to heal
someone with natural means so they can avoid using pharmaceutical drugs or having to resort to surgery,
tell me, do you consider yourself a healer?
