OMAR A

While still in school he released his first full length 2002 independent album entitled “You Can Make it Happen.”  With a strong local following and positive reviews a fire lit under him that he had never felt before. This motivation and momentum led to the 2003 independent LP release of “I’m Only Human” and the 2004 independent LP release of “Year of the O.A.SIS” which resulted in local radio play of the debut single “What’s That Language.” The song debut on Pittsburgh #1 station for Hip Hop/R&B 106.7 WAMO‘s “Battle of the Beats” winning 8 weeks in a row and earning him the prestigious award of being retired. Opening for major acts such as Bone Thugs n Harmony and numerous local and regionally known artist, Omar A has set the frame work for a major worldwide release of his next full length album. He is currently featured on the World Radio Network as there featured artist and “You Know What’s Comin” is receiving daily spins as part of the regular rotation.  You can also catch Omar A. on DJ Skroog MkDuk’s North Carolina The New Wave vols. 1 & 2 Mixtape and DVD 2012 -13 series.
Presently residing in Charlotte, NC Omar A. is excited and ready to hit the ground running with the release of his new 2012 singles “You Know What’s Comin” & “Grown Man Music” both capturing the mood of the industry and the emotion of the public. Currently working on his 4th studio album entitled “I’m Him”, Omar A. is poised to make the splash as those he so much admired growing up have done in the past..
