Doug Olson, 68-year old scientist from Pipersville, Pennsylvania is a chronic lymphocytic leukemia survivor. Doug is an advocate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and serves as a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s Advocacy Committee, which helps LLS lobby for legislation that is beneficial to blood cancer patients. Doug also volunteers as a First Connection Volunteer – these are survivors who are trained to speak to other newly diagnosed patients, and share their experiences of what the journey has been like for them.
