David’s work includes using visualization, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotional freedom technique, meditation, The Sedona method, Amino Acid supplementation for focus, as well as writing exercises designed to expose the mental and emotional patterns that could be robbing you of the opportunity to compete at your highest level possible in life.
From the age of eight, David has been engaged and interested in the power of the mind when it comes to maximizing one’s potential in sports and athletics. His devotion and even obsession with the sport of basketball, led him to model some of the top athletes as a kid, and eventually through a series of coaches in his chosen sport, he found that along with hard work and discipline, redirecting the mind to be a powerful tool was a crucial factor in the success of top athletes.
One of his earliest teachers was his freshman basketball coach, Larry Miller, who drilled into his mind the importance of being more prepared than any opponent ever, both physically and mentally in order to maximize his potential.
His high school coach later on during his junior and senior years, Dale Hesser, taught him additional mental conditioning skills that allowed him, regardless of the pressure, to make free throws with no time remaining on the clock, in a filled gym in order to help his team win games or go into overtime.
His basketball coaches at Syracuse University, Tommy Green, Mark Meadors, and head coaches ROY DANFORTH and JIM BOHEIM , continued to instill in him the need to be the most conditioned athlete on the team as a point guard, but also the leader in regards to controlling his emotions and understanding the power that comes with the ability to do so.
Since his early beginnings, he has worked with not only basketball players, but also tennis and baseball players, golfers, BMX riders and martial arts experts, as well as athletes from many other sports.
