Struggle da Preacher’s always been into music since his early childhood. Without having a musical education he always showed passion for music and singing. His father Sergey would play guitar every other night and sing songs, that was one of the reasons why Struggle fell in love with music. One day he offered his dad to come up with a band where him and his younger brother St.Rap would be singing and dad would be playing guitar. At age of 11 Struggle’s parents got divorced so he had to face some real life. He couldn’t spend that much time with his brother anymore but he often started to hang out with his cousin Vadim. So they two decided to come up with a band “One Mo”. They composed and wrote some silly songs and obviously it didn’t work out but it didn’t stop Struggle from continuing with music. Few years later when he was 15 him and St.Rap started spending more time together and that’s when they got introduced to rap music. They founded a duo named “Lazy Bones” and started giving their first performances, recording songs and making music videos. In 2003 Struggle met Dmitry Kupriyanov, the engineer, whom he keeps working with until now. In 2005 Struggle and St.Rap decided to go as solo artists. And in November 2005 SDP dropped his first solo album “Be Wit’ Me Or F*** Dat*. 2005 was a very productive year for SDP. He widen his horizon makin many helpful contacts abroad with foreign artists. This resulted in making collaborations on a global level. The first major step was showing up on The Katrina Relief Album CD which was dropped by 62030 Promotions in Las Vegas, NV. This was indeed one of many of SDP goals to have a release in the USA. In 2008 Struggle released “Da Preacher Of Struggle” album with 11 featured artists from 4 countries (USA, Russia, France, Senegal). Summer 2009 Struggle da Preacher got acquainted with DJ Cerveau of CsR Radio in Providence, RI. So they two came up with a weekly show “Live With Struggle da Preacher”. Later that year he made some big appearances on many other radio stations across the United States. In October 2011 got signed to Tornadic Records (Colorado, USA) Also in 2011 a music video for “Coming For You” single was nominated for Best Hip Hop video on WMIF Festival in Washington, DC (USA) In 2012 SDP was going to release his new double CD album “Ups’n’Downs” with appearances of legendary Yukmouth and Kool G Rap, but on March 29, 2012 he found out about his 7-year old son. So he put music aside for awhile and returned to it only in 2013, though he did drop some releases in 2012 including a music video for a song “Killing the History” featuring a Washington rapper CALICO. In January 2013 Struggle met Danika, a professional dancer and singer, who made it to the finals in a Ukrainian TV show “Everybody Dances!”. Struggle and Danika recorded a song together entitled “I Wanna Get It Badly” and they started working on another project named “Euro Rap”. That album will consist of 5-6 songs produced by D-Euro, a Danish beatmaker. Currently he is working on his new EP “Ups’n’Downs” featuring Yukmouth, Mr. Criminal, A.K.-S.W.I.F.T. and Young Noble as guests.
