3 Ways to End Racism in the U.S. Using Science Principles
1. Eliminate the Root Causes.
To launch the space shuttle successfully, you had to back track and eliminate the root causes of failure. If no one checked the value for the leak, the value would explode. Of no one checked how racist ideas were instilled into the American public in these last 2 centuries, America will explode. You can eliminate the root cause of Racism by removing the idea that dominance creates success an d subservient labor and replacing it with Common Values and a Common Job – To make the national healthy. If we looked at all citizens and residents are making a nation strong, we will invest in creates success as seen in the Space Race in 1961. By Eliminating the Root Causes of Racism which is dominance to work as seen in the slavery days, the U.S. Outcome is far more expansive than the world has ever seen.
2. Start Naming and Measuring the Problem then start Measuring the Solutions Strategies
There are problems in Housing, In Bank Lending, Police Reinforcement, Job Hiring, Socializing and Education just to name a few. There is no way to know there is a problem, unless you name it and measure it. The U.S. had the ability to create a Space Force. It can also Create a Civil Rights Force. These are people who measure and investigate Civil Rights and protect civil Rights for all people.
3. Share your previous assumptions, and make corrections to your thinking on a daily basis.
In science you must make your assumptions clear, otherwise what you worked on will be lost. This situation happened when JPL lost a Mars rover in Space because the engineers did not know the assumptions made in measurements. One thought it was one set of units, the other thought it was something else.
We each hold false assumptions in our head. I may thank that a white man may not want to aid me break glass ceilings, when he may be a person who has mentored black women to become executive CEOs. You may think that the person in the store os about to steal a soda, but in reality they may be checking the labels to see if the juice is safe for a child to drink. The only way to know someone’s thinking is to ask what they are thinking. When we allow people to share their assumptions, we they can be on the same page of finding the common solutions.
