Shelley Tzorfas is the Author of “Recovering Autism, ADHD, & Special Needs,” which is available on Amazon, B&N and other sites. She is also the author of “The Road Too Often Traveled (A Collection of Articles on Learning Disabilities..” She has been working independently with affected kids for more than 2 decades. In addition to Autism and ADHD, she helps kids with Dyslexia learn how to compensate in reading ,writing and with other skills. Shelley has an MFA from Rutgers University. Her articles have appeared nationally and internationally.Shelley feels that having had Undiagnosed Dyslexia until age 25 gave her insights into helping other kids. “It is one thing to just look up what Academia says about ASD, ADHD, or Dyslexia-but it is another thing to know what to do about it,” An example is ADHD-Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder where the claim is that a child can’t pay attention or focus…But what does the child do when he gets home from school? He plays 6 hours of video games with total and complete attention and focus!
