TOPIC-Senators Charles Schumer (D) and Mike Lee (R) joined forces to create a bipartisan bill designed to help the sluggish housing market. The goal of the bill is to spur demand in the US Housing Market by offering US realty to foreign purchasers. In doing so the purchaser gets a three year “homeowners visa” to live in the United States. They must pay taxes and can’t receive public assistance.

The purchaser must live in the United States for no less than 3 years to qualify. This will not only help secure many of the foreclosed properties on the books, helping our economy, but it will also benefit businesses, including small businesses in the area sparking “positive” capital.
