My name is Chris Cayer and I am the CEO of Advantage Business Club, the COO of Reyactive

LLC, and the President of MainStreets LLC.

My email address is chris@chriscayer.com, and I am launching a national convention tour stopping

in 22 cities across 16 states. Each stop is a full day convention for 200-250 business and startup

owners and media to teach and share more than 27 different kinds of funding and over 6700

different funding sources to help businesses and startups get their hands on the money they need to

grow and launch.

We’re bringing a number of top name speakers with us who will be sharing their expertise in other

immediately usable resources, strategies, skills, or technologies that entrepreneurs can out to use

right away.

The reason for the passion behind these conventions is that Since 1956 our entrepreneurship rate

has been consistently dropping from over 75% in the 1950’s to 32% in 2012, and now down to 7.4

% as of just a few months ago. On its own that may not seem like a big deal until you also look at

the fact that up until at least 1986 small businesses created and maintained more than 90% of all

jobs. Today they create and maintain 65% of all jobs. Where the Wall Street Journal, The

Economist, the BLS U6 and U12 stats all show real unemployment and underemployment ranging

between 25.4% and 32%, it clearly points to one unavoidable conclusion- our inability to recover

from the current economic downturn is directly tied to our inability to launch and grow enough new

businesses.

That means the fastest and surest way I can help this country turn its economy around is to help it

launch and grow as many successful new and growth-oriented businesses as I can. And the most

powerful way to do that is to connect them with funding, resources, skills and mentorship.

This is beyond politics. Under no administration in the last 70 years has there been so much as a

single uptick in entrepreneurship. Neither party has been more positive in improving results in this

area, although the current administration has seen the single largest drop of any administration in

American history, and most of that over the last 3 years where the President has had both a majority

in the Senate and now a minority in both Houses, meaning neither party felt this was an important

enough issue to make the compromises needed to address it.

Politicians aren’t going to save this economy. Titans of business can’t solve this problem as they are

too big to be agile enough to launch a new wave of entrepreneurship on their own.

The answer has to come at the grass roots, small business level. The answer has to come from us.

That’s what these conventions are about, and why it’s so important to talk about this in every

applicable forum I can to drive attendance, sponsorships, and partnerships to each of these events.

Does that give you enough to work from?
