Are you starting to plan your 2021 Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur celebrations for 2021? Are you looking for new ways to celebrate? New stories to share with your family about the history of the holidays? The Posen Library of Jewish Culture and Civilization is a great new resource – free on the web – to help families, scholars, students, Rabbis, etc. quickly access information about Jewish culture including excerpts from famous texts, art from the holocaust, ancient biblical texts paired with archaeology to discover how holidays and the world worked in 332 BCE and so much more.
The Posen Library of Jewish Culture and Civilization consists of The Posen Digital Library (PDL), available at posenlibrary.com, and the 10-volume print anthology of Jewish culture being published by Yale University Press. Currently, five volumes are available online and in print, covering the periods 1750–1880, 1918–2005, and the second millennium to 332 BCE.
Would there be interest in talking with Renown Jewish Scholar Deborah Dash Moore, Frederick G. L. Huetwell Professor of History and Professor of Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan and the editor-in-chief of The Posen Library, about how anyone can access images, prose, music, and more to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur? Dr. Moore can discuss how these free resources can add to the understanding and celebration of the holidays
