Dr. Melinda Sue Norin is best known for her award-winning marketing strategies and training
programs in the air quality and transportation alternatives field. She began working with organizations
in 1982. Since then Dr. Norin has been selected by the nation’s largest organizations to improve
employee engagement and remedy organizational challenges by designing and implementing
innovative programs.
A few of the organizations requesting consulting services include the County of Los Angeles, County
of Ventura, County of San Bernardino, City of Los Angeles, LA County/USC Medical Center, the
Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, Home Depot, DWP, USPS, South Coast Air
Quality Management District, Premier America Credit Union, Hunt Wesson Foods and Latham &
Watkins. Projects have included developing marketing strategies and materials, computer tracking
programs, preparing governmental compliance plans and presentations, creating policies and
procedures, developing motivational tools for management; and teaching public speaking.
Some of the other 6,000 representatives Dr. Norin has worked with include staff from the IRS, FBI,
UCLA, USC, Caltrans, and Metro (formerly MTA) organizations. Also diverse industries including:
hotels, hospitals, aerospace, educational facilities, restaurants, law firms, banks, insurance and leaders
in the technology field. Dr. Norin has assisted hundreds of organizational representatives in Santa
Monica over the past two decades with air quality, transportation and marketing program training.
In 2003, Dr. Norin earned a Diamond Award from Metro for her consulting project at the LAC+USC
Medical Center. Previously Dr. Norin was awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the Board of the
Los Angeles Unified School District, representing 300 schools.
