ABOUT EDDIE TRUNK:
EDDIE TRUNK is the host of AXS TV’s Trunkfest. In this new TV series, Eddie takes viewers on a tour of experiences at music festivals around the world. The program airs Sunday nights 9:30P ET on AXS. Eddie Trunk is a 34-year music industry veteran who has built a reputation for being one of the most respected personalities in the world of Rock, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.
Eddie began his broadcasting career in 1983, after convincing the execs at his favorite local radio station, WDHA in NJ, to allow him to produce a hard rock/heavy metal specialty show – one of the first of it’s kind. That show continues to this day under the banner of Eddie Trunk Rocks (also labeled Friday Night Rocks in NYC).
In 2002 Eddie took the leap into television after being hired as a host on VH1’s sister station, VH1 Classic, where Eddie was regularly seen hosting the interview series Hanging With, as well as appearing on many of the station’s other segments and specials. From 2008-2015 he was host and co-producer of the hit series That Metal Show, the longest running program in the station’s history. That Metal Show is seen around the world and is a favorite destination for many Rock/Heavy Metal fans and artists. Over more than 120 episodes the show features the biggest names in all genres of rock music. VH1 Classic was terminated as a channel in August of 2016.
Eddie also hosts Eddie Trunk Live, a weekly live music, talk & interview show every Monday night (6 – 10p ET/ 3-7 Pacific) on SiriusXM satellite radio channel 39 (Hair Nation), which is branded “Trunk Nation” during his program.”

Los Angeles, CA – AXS TV unveils a new eight-episode series TrunkFest, hosted by Eddie Trunk, at 9:30pE/6:30pP on Sunday, July 1.
Hit the road with Eddie Trunk in the series premiere of TrunkFest, as the noted music historian rolls into the one and only Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. During the episode, Trunk hitches a ride in a fan’s sidecar; sits down for an exclusive interview with Southern Rock superstarGeorge Thorogood; and gets schooled in the ways of motorcycle stunts with daredevil Doug Danger, who takes Eddie behind the scenes of his breathtaking Rattlesnake Jump.
Other highlights from the freshman series include a creepy cruise down to New Orleans on July 8 for the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience festival, where Trunk celebrates Halloween with a harrowing trip through a haunted house, eats a fried Oreo for the first time, catches up with Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters and learns how to make jambalaya, before joining Tom Morello, Chuck D, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford to discuss their supergroup Prophets of Rage; then, Trunk heads south of the border for a concert vacation at Castaway with Southern Ground, talking with Southern Rock favorites Blackberry Smoke, and chart-topping Country mainstays the Zac Brown Band, before watching ZBB’s personal cuisine wiz Chef Rusty craft a sumptuous ceviche while standing in water.
