NATIONAL IMMIGRATION ANALYST: Jennifer Lawrence, is the National Spokeswoman and Communications Director of the hugely sucessful border wall GoFundMe campaign We Build The Wall.
A defense spending bill released Tuesday by House Democrats would limit the amount of money the Pentagon is allowed to transfer between accounts after it unilaterally shifted money for President Trump’s proposed border wall.
The inclusion of the provision in the fiscal 2020 defense spending bill comes after the Pentagon broke decades of precedent by transferring money without congressional leaders’ approval to build the wall.
“The bill ensures that our service members are trained and equipped to do their jobs safely and effectively and that they are prepared for future military needs,” House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.) said in a statement.
“We have the most capable and advanced military in the world, and this bill honors their mission by adequately funding programs to care for service members and their families, and by protecting defense funding from being stolen for the president’s wasteful wall.”

Setting the Record Straight
To date, he has raised approximately US$22 million to privately fund the wall.
Once the GoFundMe transitioned to a 501c4, all donors were contacted and asked if they wanted their donation to be refunded or if they want it to count toward the new “WeBuildTheWall, Inc.”
The default setting was that if 90 days went by without confirmation, the donor would be automatically refunded so as to ensure their money was allocated with their consent.
When will construction begin?
Our team has already begun the process of identifying zones along the Southern Border that are known to be high-traffic areas for illegal crossings and smuggling operations. We are presently working with US Customs and Border Patrol experts and other US Border Security Service professionals who are highly experienced in these matters. We are beginning extensive due diligence and the commencement of feasibility studies and will be engaging leading experts in a variety of fields necessary to construct our Border Wall. These professionals will continue to provide us with critical guidance on the legal, engineering, contracting, environmental, accounting, maintenance, and real estate issues required to build a Wall along the Southern Border.
