RELIGION ANALYST/AUTHOR: Jim Shriner, is author of the new book Jesus Christ, Enough Already.

Pope Francis on Monday said “silence and prayer” were the answer to those seeking “scandal and division”, amid a barrage of attacks from ultra-conservative Catholics.
The pope has so far refused to respond to allegations made last month that he for years covered up sexual abuse allegations against a prominent US cardinal.

“With people who lack goodwill, with people who seek only scandal, who seek only division, who seek only destruction, even within the family: (there is nothing but) silence. And prayer,” Francis said during a service at St Martha’s, the boarding house where he stays.

BIO: Jim Shriner is a fitness guru, and television personality. He has been a pitchman for many product television infomercials. He’s appeared on the Christian Broadcasting Network’s The 700 Club with Pat Robertson, and has rubbed elbows with Robert Schuller of the Crystal Cathedral. He was chosen to be one of the stars on the popular television show American Gladiators. While in California, he served on the production team for the syndicated television program The Home Show. Shriner then moved on to launch a health and fitness company that included a nationally-syndicated Christian TV show called Eternally Fit: Getting Fit with Jim.

An experienced keynote speaker and lecturer, he has appeared on stage with such notables as Dr. John Gray, author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus; the godfather of fitness Jack LaLanne; the original Juiceman and #1 New York Times bestselling author Jay Kordich; and world-renowned bestselling author Dr. James Balch. Most recently, Jim has been a spokesperson for Arthri-D, one of the top selling joint support products. His wife Julie was his partner in life and in business. Julie had been suffering with a very aggressive form of Rheumatoid Arthritis and passed away in 2018 from complications of the disease.
