About Hannah Brencher
Writer, Hannah Brencher always loved that her family communicated via handwritten letters. In October 2010, she began writing love letters intended for strangers and tucked them away in libraries and cafes across NYC for people to discover. Soon after she launched a blog that shared hundreds of love letters all over the world. Today, she runs a global initiative, a letter exchange dedicated to connecting strangers across the globe through the art of letter writing. Since its founding, the global community has grown to over 25,000 individuals across 6 continents, 59 countries, all 50 states and is established on over 71 college campuses. Named as one of the White House’s “Women Working to Do Good” and a spokesperson for the United States Postal Service, Hannah and her work has been featured in outlets such as Oprah, the Huffington Post, TED.com, Glamour, BBC News, CNN World News, The Meredith Vieira Show, the Wall Street Journal, and more. Her memoir “If You Find This Letter” is now in bookstores across the country.
