In the chaos surrounding the NYC terror attack, the media is, indeed, mentioning Sayfullo Saipov’s shout of “Allahu Akbar” as he exited the truck, but little attention has been given to what that actually means.
Speaking from Israel, which has experienced quite a few similar truck attacks, former Shiloh Mayor and Terror Victim David Rubin points out that the expression means “Allah is Greater”, thereby proclaiming the triumph of Islam over Judeo-Christian civilization.
Says Mayor Rubin, whose son was critically injured in a terror attack, said, “It doesn’t really matter that he was apparently a member of ISIS. It also doesn’t matter that on a personal level, they say he was “a friendly, nice guy”. What is most important is that he was driven by the Muslim ideology of Jihad, or holy war against non-Muslims, and that is what must be confronted head-on if this terror is to be stopped.”
Bio: David Rubin is the former mayor of Shiloh, Israel. He is founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, established after he and his three-year-old son were wounded by Islamic terrorists. Rubin is the author of five books, including “The Islamic Tsunami” and “Peace For Peace”. His websites: www.DavidRubinIsrael.com or www.ShilohIsraelChildren.org
