Steve Clark is a legal thriller author and lawyer in Oklahoma City. He specializes in medical malpractice.
He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor limited to the top 1% of attorneys.
Clark is also listed in the Best Lawyers in America.
Clark began his writing career last year, penning Justice is for the Lonely: A Kristen Kerry Novel. His
second book was released, Justice is for the Deserving: A Kristen Kerry Novel
After receiving his law degree from the University of Oklahoma four decades ago, he embarked on a
prolific career in law in which he started his own firm, taught law at Oklahoma City University – College
of Law and became a managing partner at Clark & Mitchell, P.C., where he remains today. He has
solidified his reputation as an expert in various areas of law by giving more than 20 professional
presentations to his peers over the years. He has also been ranked as a “Superlawyer” on
www.superlawyers.com every year since 2005.
Clark, 66, has spent his career in personal injury practice. He has tried more than 100 jury cases. He
served on the Board of Directions of the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association and the Oklahoma County
Bar Association and has been a delegate to the State Bar Convention.
He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association Medicine
and Law Committee, the American Association for Justice Birth Trauma Committee, and the prestigious
American Board of Trial Advocates.
He has been a speaker at attorney education programs for the University of Oklahoma College of Law,
Oklahoma Bar, the Oklahoma Bar Association, and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and
has served on the Oklahoma City University adjunct law facility. Clark served as an Oklahoma county
chairman for the Republican Party in the 1980s.
His wife, Jane was a scholarship athlete at the University of Oklahoma. They currently live in Oklahoma
City and have five children. He has coached his four daughters in the Amateur Softball Association and
enjoys being involved in his son’s sports activities. Steve is active in state
