BREATHING BLUE AUTHOR AND MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER KATHLEEN O’DWYER OFFERS ADVICE ON OVERCOMING BURNOUT AND CREATING A MORE FULFILLING LIFE IN 2013 NEW YORK and PHOENIX, AZ, June 7, 2013 – I’d like to introduce you to our client, Kathleen O’Dwyer. O’Dwyer is a Phoenix-based motivational speaker and author, who at the age of 56 and following a divorce, did the unthinkable by giving up a financially lucrative career and Chicago lifestyle in order to run a ranch in the Arizona wilderness. Her experiences also empowered her to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a writer, which she chronicles in her new memoir Breathing Blue: Giving My Life to Spirit and Sprit to My Life (December 2012, AuthorHouse). A cross between Eat Pray Love and Tuesdays with Morrie, Kathleen’s story is one that is both uplifting and inspirational, particularly for those who have suddenly found themselves out of sorts and at a crossroads as 2013 begins. And while Kathleen certainly doesn’t advocate “chucking it all to live on a ranch in the middle of nowhere” as a viable option for most people, her universal message offers something for practically everyone.
Biography – Kathy O’Dwyer The twists and turns of life brought Kathy O’Dwyer to Aravaipa Canyon Ranch, a retreat center located in the pristine wilderness of Aravaipa Canyon, Arizona. While living and working on the ranch Kathy gave birth to her book Breathing Blue which chronicles her two years in Aravaipa. A former lifelong Chicagoan, she spent the better part of her career in the corporate world in office management and business communications before transitioning to a life of service to others. A Reiki Master and massage therapist, Kathy’s studies focused on Native American healing traditions. From these pursuits her true passion for writing emerged. Through her writing Kathy not only found her voice but also manifested a life of grace, purpose and fulfillment. Since the publication of Breathing Blue, Kathy has since moved to Gold Canyon, Arizona and currently lives with her husband, their three dogs, and of course Miss Kitty, at the base of the Superstition Mountains. She continues to expand her knowledge of healing traditions. A second book is in progress and she now facilitates nature inspired writing groups both out of her home and at other venues.
