ABOUT LORI MATTHEWS:
Raised in Canada, Lori grew up in a house filled with books and readers. Some of her fondest memories are of reading in the same room with her mother and sisters, arguing about whose turn it was to make tea — no one wanted to put their book down.
Lori was introduced to romance because of my mom’s habit of leaving books all over the house. One day I picked up a Harlequin novel by Janet Daily. Little did she know at the time that it would set the stage for her future. She went on to discover mystery novels — Agatha Christie was her favorite — followed by suspense and authors like Wilber Smith and Ian Fleming.
Intrigued by the thought of combining her favorite genres, she attempted to write her first romantic suspense novel while in high school. “I wrote the first four chapters and then exams happened and that was the end of that. I desperately hope that book died a quiet death somewhere in a computer recycling facility,” says Lori.
After a few years (OK, more than a few), two degrees, a marriage and kids, Lori attended a workshop in Tuscany that lit her spark for writing again. She has been pounding the keyboard ever since. She lives in Princeton, New Jersey with her supportive husband and two children. For more information: https://lorimatthewsbooks.com/
