She has been an on-camera medical correspondent for CNN/HLN, Rachel Ray Show, EXTRA!, The Doctors and local news stations. Dr. Strand has appeared on several radio programs including NPR. She lives with type 1 diabetes and won CBS’s The Amazing Race.
