Mark E. Becker
TOPIC-Mediation Techniques for Major Decisions
Mark E. Becker is a lawyer, certified mediator, political mediator and author. Mark was one of the first 80 certified mediators in the state of Florida and has successfully help mediate more than 5,000 cases. Mark consulted with Janet Reno on the Elian Gonzalez case, worked in the same Florida courthouse that determined the 2000 presidential election, had his shoes shined with Joe Biden, spoke candidly with Elizabeth Dole, accidently stepped on Jesse Jackson’s toes, and ate next to Jeb Bush during 9/11. Mark is not a member of any political party, and you will never see any reference to party politics in his books, during mediation, or while he commentates. Mark believes that, as with any dispute with two contentious parties, the democrats and republicans could benefit greatly from result-oriented mediation. From healthcare to social security to taxes to immigration, Mark believes that if the basic rules of mediation were applied properly, resolution and progress could easily be made.
