🔥 General Questions for the Interview
For those discovering your work for the first time, how would you describe the essence of your music?
Underground hip hop. Something seldom heard and usually involving a message. Something that is needed.
Your songs are available at www.TunsiMusic.com. How important is it for you to control the way your audience experiences and purchases your music?
It is very important to me because I believe the relationship should be between the artist and the fans, directly. My website, www.TunsiMusic.com can only grow and provide the art my fans desire.
What inspired you to create these specific songs — “My Feet,” “Bold,” and “Show Me The Way”? Do they share a common message or journey?
“My Feet” was developed through the frustrations of daily life. Understanding that no matter the circumstance you must continue your journey. I was inspired to write “Bold” because I’m a very bold person. It’s hard to hold back my thoughts. “Show Me The Way” is something I wanted to do because, yes I am bold but I am also humble and I can always use guidance.
The Journey is always the same and the message is usually in line with my goals.
🎵 “My Feet”
“My Feet” is such an evocative title — can you talk about what this track means to you personally?
“My Feet”, is my continuous drive to constantly walk in the right direction. As long as I’m able to stand, I’m able to walk. Nothing can prevent me from trying to achieve my destiny.
Is there a spiritual or metaphorical significance behind the phrase “My Feet”? Are you referring to endurance, direction, or something else?
Metaphorically speaking, I’m on the move. In order to move, you must walk. In order to walk, you need feet.
The rhythm in “My Feet” seems to carry a lot of emotional weight. What was your creative process like for composing and arranging this song?
First I heard the song in my head. Then I arranged the music to match my feelings. Finally I wrote to the song.
Was there a particular moment or experience that sparked this track?
Not really. Although I often feel the hidden hand wanting me to fail.
What do you hope listeners take away when they hear “My Feet”?
Strive to never be stopped and continue to keep moving toward your goals.
💪 “Bold”
Let’s talk about “Bold” — what was the moment you knew you had to write this song?
I feel bold everyday. Plus, the music that I create requires me to be bold because of the subject matter. I wrote this song because at that moment, I was guess I was feeling extra bold.
Confidence and courage seem central to the track. Was this song a declaration, a reminder, or a call to action?
I think It was more of a realization like, “I must really be bold to be creating and promoting this type of music”. A lot of my music can be considered controversial.
The lyrics and delivery really hit hard — did this song challenge you vocally or emotionally?
Not at all. I have so many songs and ideas in my head, I’m just waiting for the outlet. When I create songs its always from the heart, so I just can’t understand how it can be challenging. I think it’s only challenging if you’re trying to be someone else.
How do you personally stay “bold” in a world that often rewards conformity?
Just by knowing who you are and what you are capable of. The world can’t afford my reward.
What’s the most bold thing you’ve ever done in your music career so far?
Refusing to conform.
✨ “Show Me The Way”
“Show Me The Way” feels like a prayer, a plea, or maybe a conversation. What’s the heart of this song for you?
Reaching out for guidance.
Is the “way” in the song about faith, purpose, direction — or maybe all three?
The “way” is righteousness.
Who or what do you turn to when you’re searching for guidance, like the one expressed in this track?
The All Mighty.
Was this song written during a period of change or challenge in your life?
The change happened long ago. The challenge can be everyday, trying to remain focused.
The production has a moving, soulful quality — what choices did you make to achieve that sound?
It’s always based on my feeling at that very moment. Rarely do I go into production with something in mind. I just start playing with sounds until I get there. But something deep was the goal.
