“PICASSO OF THIEVES” PRODUCERS, NEW HEAT MEDIA, TMGROUP PRODUCTIONS AND ANALIGITAL EDITOR RICHARD MARTINEZ TEAM UP TO HEIGHTEN IMPACT
BOCA RATON, Fla., April 13, 2023 — Private screening April 30th of TMGroup Productions and New Heat Media’s documentary/feature length film, The Picasso of Thieves will now have even greater impact by their having collaborated with Richard Martinez, Editor, Analigital from Motion Pictures Editors Guild.
Award-winning female Director Anna Cespedes, and award-winning producer, Carlos Cespedes of New Heat Media believed Richard Martinez of Analigital™ was the perfect editor for the documentary. Martinez will be flying in from Los Angeles for the Premiere this month.
Martinez is known for his incredible career in film working on successful and well known projects such as Sphere (1998), Heat (1995) and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001).
“It’s an honor to be a part of this captivating film, and to see my company’s work fit into the piece of the puzzle of “Picasso’s” (a.k.a. Joselito Vega) mind. Every documentary is just an interview until edited into something more,” says Martinez.
The film tells the story of an artful house painter who becomes adept at stealing art by Pablo Picasso, featuring guest interview Noah Charney, Professor, Pulitzer Finalist Best-Selling Author and Historian of Art Crime that truly adds to the mindset within the film.
“Now please, anyone who sees this film we ask that they not report what they saw to police,” said Mazzone, just kidding.
The project needed an editor and Cespedes having worked with Ricky in the past decided to collaborate with him.
“As a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, Richard “Ricky” Martinez has an extensive resume creating documentaries through his Los Angeles based multimedia company, Analigital, the blend of Analog & Digital,” said Cespedes.
“Having owned and operated an art gallery for 10 years, the art history behind the story was intriguing and I was drawn to help make a documentary worth telling,” he added.
