A Biographical Synopsis
As a Political Scientist with a life-long passion for Israel and the Middle East, I specialized in
International Relations, doing my core field of study in Middle Eastern affairs. With fidelity to
purpose, I have sought out several enriching experiences concerning Israel, the Middle East, and
Islamic terrorism.
The following synopsis provides brief illustrations of this. Graduating from the School of
International Relations at the University of Southern California, working my way through
school, I was recommended by the Chair of Middle Eastern Studies at the School of International
Relations to join Analytical Assessments Corporation, AAC, a Middle East think tank that was
operating in the Los Angeles and the Washington, D.C., areas. I served there for three (3) years.
In 1987, I received my Masters of Arts in International Relations, Political Science, with a core
field of study in Middle Eastern Affairs after completing a Political Science degree in 1980, and
obtaining a life-long Community College Teaching Credential.
While working with Top Secret clearances for AAC, I conducted research, analysis, and writing
on issues of U.S. national security and the Arab-Israeli conflict. The focus of my research and
writing was the Middle East and Islamic terrorism for specific government agencies including
the United States Departments of Defense and State, the Central Intelligence Agency, the
Defense Intelligence Agency, and other defense and intelligence related organizations.
After completing graduate school, with an emphasis on Middle Eastern affairs and project work
on the modern rise of Islamic terrorism, I was hired as a public relations writer on classified
projects for U.S. intelligence at Eaton, Information Management Systems Division, a
Multinational Corporation.
Conducting research and completing White Papers on intelligence systems, I continued to write
on subjects related to the national security interests of the United States. I worked for two years
at Eaton and then went on to start my own consulting firm called, D.L. Gary Enterprises and did
more work on writing and producing materials for publication for four (4) more years.
I have also worked as an adjunct instructor, teaching political science courses as well as
international relations, Middle Eastern affairs, and Islamic terrorism at the University of
California, Irvine, the American Jewish University, and various community colleges, as well as
Summit Bible College. And I have worked in this capacity for a number of years.
Having spoken at academic institutions and several, various non-government organizations over
the years, I have experience with both the print and the electronic media. I write articles and
speak on radio and sometimes television.
I have had a weekly broadcast for the last five (5) years that focuses on U.S. foreign policy,
national security, Israel, the war against Islamic terrorism, and Middle Eastern affairs in general,
as well as on world-wide humanitarian crises such as, the genocide against Christians and
Yezidis in Syria and Iraq.
