Kansas City, MO, July 25, 2016 — Kansas City Comic Con (KCCC) takes place Friday, August 12 – Sunday, August

14 at Bartle Hall 301 W. 13th Street, Kansas City, MO 64105. KCCC is the area’s hometown comic convention that is

open to all ages and dedicated to featuring local and national creators, vendors and cosplayers alongside activities for

the entire family. Tickets are on sale NOW for the event and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or

www.kansascity-comiccon.com. The show is open to the public and takes place Friday, August 12 from 1pm to

7pm, Saturday, August 13 from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday, August 14 from 10am to 5pm with ticket prices

ranging from $60 for 3 Day pass to Friday – $25; Saturday – $35; Sunday – $30; youth (ages 11-16) $20 for 3

Day pass; and children 10 and under are FREE. With an incredible lineup of guests from television, movies, comics,

animation, gaming, cosplay, and music, Kansas City Comic Con promises to be an unforgettable experience for the

entire family.

Friday, August 12

Convention doors open at 1pm. Panels planned for this day include: Q&A wit actor Jeremy Howard; Meet the BB-8

puppeteer Brian Herring and Cosplay with a Cause featuring Elite Supergirl, Sloane Withers-Marney, Walkin’ & Rollin’

Costumes and Ron Panda and much more. After the convention closes, join us for a special showing of Star Trek

V:The Final Frontier. See it on the Midwest’s largest screen – the Extreme Screen (managed by B&B Theatres) at

Union Station in Kansas City, MO 64105 at 9:00pm. All tickets only $5. Come dressed as your favorite Star Trek

Saturday, August 13

Convention doors open at 10am with costume parade entrance. Special events include: Cosplay Wedding; Adult and

Children’s Costume Contest; Macaroni Kid Superhero Training plus more. Attend A Q&A with actor and former

Kansas City Chief Fred Williamson; meet actress Nichelle Nichols best known for her role as Uhura from Star Trek; sit

in on a Q&A with John Schneider and Tom Wopat from The Dukes of Hazzard and more. After the convention closes,

join us at The Arvest Bank Presents Midland Theatre at 8pm for a concert by MC Chris featuring Tribe One and

Second Hand King.

Sunday, August 14

Convention doors open at 10am. Special events include: Listen to fascinating behind-the- scenes stories from the

artist model for Disney’s Tinker Bell, Margaret Kerry; Q&A with Aaron Standford from 12 Monkeys; Star Wars favorite,

Billy Dee Williams, will join for a Q&A; paid meet and greet – Shocking Good Time with Fred Ottman and more. After

the convention closes, join us for KC Xtreme Wrestling at the Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet (1400 Main Street, KCMO)

In addition to the excellent guest roster, Kansas City Comic Con has fan-centric activities that are designed to put

fans in the middle of the action. Costume contests for not only the seasoned cosplayer but children who are just

beginning! Come take your picture with the General Lee car as seen in the popular 1970’s TV show, The Dukes of

Hazzard. Panels on multiple topics all weekend, featuring our media and creator guests! Hundreds of vendors offering

comics, toys, collectibles, jewelry, costumes and much more!

Macaroni Kid Superhero Training Academy includes: Superhero Training Obstacle Course that consists of Pokeball

Challenge, Flash Dash, Rescue Mission, Strike Out the Villains plus much more; Superhero Photo Booth; and a

different daily take home activity such as Design Your Own Shield or Pokeball.

Tickets for Kansas City Comic Con are available NOW through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets will

also be available at the door all three days of the show. Ticket booths will be open two (2) hours prior to show time

each day. All tickets will be identically priced whether purchased before or during the show. Prices are as follows: 3-

Day – $60; Friday – $25; Saturday – $35; Sunday – $30; Youth 3 Day – $20 (Ages 11 to 16) NOTE: We are not

offering a single-day youth ticket. Children 10 and under are FREE.

Kansas City Comic Con is a pop-culture fan convention that showcases artists and products from all entertainment

genres, including comic books, gaming, movies, television, anime, and cosplay. It features a large array of exhibits

with several companies demonstrating their wares and a shopping experience like no other, aimed at fans that are

looking for games, T-shirts, comics, toys, statues, DVDs/Blu-rays, replicas, and more collector items.

In addition, fans have the opportunity to meet their favorite creators from the world of comics, get their autographs,

commission a sketch, or thank them for their work. In addition, they can meet the personalities behind their favorite TV

shows and movies. Celebrities participate in autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and Q&As that can

accommodate hundreds of fans.

Fans are encouraged (but not obliged) to come dressed as their favorite pop culture characters, whether from movies,

TV, video games, or comics. Fans will also be able to participate in both a costume contest and incredible costume

parade in downtown Kansas City.

Over the course of three days, fans are treated to several different panel discussions that help further promote

comics, costuming, gaming, and pop culture in general. This is an event to bring the fans closer to the things they love

and celebrate fans in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Kansas City pride and passion brought this event to life, and it is the
