About Chip Wade: Atlanta native Chip Wade is a master handyman who began working with his father at an early age – and over the years developed an interest in DIY auto maintenance, carpentry, landscaping and renovation. Chip began his media career in 2007 with HGTV’s Designed to Sell. Since then Chip has appeared on HGTV’s Curb Appeal: The Block, HGTV’s Showdown, HGTV’s Design Star, HGTV’s Ellen’s Design Challenge, Oprah, WSJ Live and CNN. As the host, designer and contractor on his newest series, Elbow Room, Chip is there from concept through construction to show HGTV and DIY viewers how to customize their spaces and transform garages, bedrooms, living spaces and more that perfectly suit their lifestyle.
