Why write this book?
After selling my latest company, I wanted to do something to give back that had the potential to reach more people than volunteering for a few organizations. I’d noticed from my personal and business interactions, that often people didn’t practice some of the values that helped me be successful and didn’t have the knowledge to give them the opportunity to achieve similar success.

We are in the midst of a national crisis in terms of huge amounts of debt, a lack of civility in our communication, a me-first attitude, poor knowledge of our government and rights, a large portion of our seniors that are retiring with almost no savings and a lot of young people without good mentors to help them.

Though a simple book won’t solve all of these problems, if teenagers and young adults have a good orientation to what it takes to be successful and cultivate and engage with mentors, great things can happen. This is what I hope can come from this book and mentor-lead classes.
