For upcoming stories, please consider Lisa Riggs, serial sock entrepreneur and CEO of Spirit Sox U.S.A, and her “Sockworthy Surprise” subscription box, two pairs of premium socks with limited edition designs that remain a surprise until the package arrives, and monthly subscriptions $18 or less. While most companies only offer gendered options, Sock-Worthy Surprises are available in men’s, women’s and unisex designs. Why socks? Lisa found that socks and underwear are the two most needed items in any homeless shelter, so she decided to donate 5% of profits towards providing socks to the unsheltered.
