Interview topic: Stormy Daniels’ lawyer arrested on charges of abuse
Guest: Stefan Aarnio

Intro:

With so many people jumping on the #MeToo Movement, it takes something really big or unusual to make big headlines but this one just did. Michael Avenatti, the lawyer of pornography actress Stormy Daniels, was arrested on accusations of domestic violence. While we are not discussing the specifics in these allegations, it does bring up the issue of pornography and abuse. Our guest Stefan Aarnio says he believes there is a connection between pornography and abuse and that neither is something a real man should be associated with. We welcome that author of the inciteful new book, “Hard Times Create Strong Men,” Stefan Aarnio.

Q&A:

Q1) What is the connection between pornography and abuse?

A: There are two kinds of abuse in play here: Abuse of self and abuse of others. When a so-called ‘man’ has a so-called ‘relationship’ with scantily clad women in magazines or videos, they are engaging in self-abuse. Later, when that man tries to interact with a real woman, old habits die hard and he’s likely to treat her the same way he treated the women in the pictures, without a modicum of respect, just as likely to slap the real woman as he was when he slapped down the magazine when he was done with it.

Q2) What does it mean to be a man in the modern world?

A: Throughout history, being a man has meant different things. Maybe being a man was about being a good hunter, or a good soldier, a good businessman or maybe good with women. The new book, “Hard Times Creates Strong Men,” examines what it means to be a man in the modern world relative to money, sex, religion and politics. This book examines what worked and what doesn’t work based on proven history instead of feelings. This book is raw, real and politically incorrect, it will threaten and challenge your ideas of what does it mean to be a man and how to better serve your purpose.

As the cycles of history prove over and over again:

Hard Times Create Strong Men
Strong Men Create Good Times
Good Times Create Weak Men
Weak Men Create Hard times

Q3) How does the percentage of these real men today compare to real men in past generations?

A: It’s hard to say how many “real men” are out there these days. There are so many fatherless homes without fathers to teach their sons how to treat women, love women, and become respectable men. 50% of marriages end in divorce and in most divorce cases the fathers are absent. This creates major problems for young boys and girls.

Q4) How does the absence of real men affect today’s society, culture and family?

A: Statistics on fatherless homes are horrible, there is absolutely no benefit to be without a father:

• 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes (US Dept. Of Health/Census) – 5 times the average.
• 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes – 32 times the average.
• 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes – 20 times the average. (Center for Disease Control)
• 80% of rapists with anger problems come from fatherless homes –14 times the average. (Justice & Behavior, Vol 14, p. 403-26)
• 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes – 9 times the average. (National Principals Association Report)
Father Factor in Education – Fatherless children are twice as likely to drop out of school.
• Children with Fathers who are involved are 40% less likely to repeat a grade in school.
• Children with Fathers who are involved are 70% less likely to drop out of school.
• Children with Fathers who are involved are more likely to get A’s in school.
• Children with Fathers who are involved are more likely to enjoy school and engage in extracurricular activities.
• 75% of all adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers come from fatherless homes – 10 times the average

Q5) Part of your philosophy about being a real man means you need to do real work. Apparently, you practice what you preach in that you run two multi-million dollar enterprises, yet you are very young. Were you simply at the right time and the right place or are you a trust fund kid, or did you actually earn that money?

A: I started with $1200 of cash and was a broke guitar teacher at 22 with nothing but a useless English degree and a $10,000 a year annual income. I had to fly around the world to learn from successful men because my own father was incompetent. It was a hard process, cost a lot of money, but it was worth it. Hard Times Creates Strong Men.

Q6): You write about the “extinction of the Western Man” and urge men to reclaim their birthright that society has thrown away. Is that a bit of an exaggeration or do you believe that and can you give us some examples?

A: Men used to be the leaders of their families, the leaders of society, admired by their children and respected by their women. Today men are an endangered species because they aren’t “needed” anymore. Welfare takes over the role that men used to play in homes. Women make comparable money to men and it’s harder and harder to find good examples of men to follow and men to be.

Q7) Some of the destructive lifestyles some men engage in men include hypersensitivity leading to Crying Zones on college campuses, snowflakism, video game addiction and addiction to pornography. How serious these lifestyles and how does it impact society and families?

A: Those lifestyles keep men out of the real world of being a man and in the “peter pan” world of never-never land. You don’t have to grow up and take responsibility when you stay home and play video games and jerk off to porn all day. In 1950 America invented the teenager and in the mid-1990’s the “emerging adult” became a new concept. It now takes a man until he is 30 to get out of the boy zone and engage with his work. This is bad for women, families, and overall society because we have too many boys and not enough men.

Q8): You share some philosophy with Will Durant who wrote: “A nation is born a stoic and dies an epicurean. Please expand your pleasure vs. virtue principle.

A: America and many other great countries were born out of war and hard times. Those hard times gave way to stoic values like deferring pleasure and reason over emotions. We live in a time now where pleasure and happiness are the highest virtues and epicurean values make men weak which leads from democracy to tyranny and later to a monarchy which is what has happened in history before. Look at the fall of Rome.

Q9: Where may our viewers get more information on your book, “Hard Times Creates Strong Men”? and any of your social media sites where we can learn more about what it takes to be a strong man, contributing positively to our society, family, and culture.

A: They may visit StefanArnio.com or HardTimesStrongMen.com to see many valuable resources as well as an area to pre-order the book scheduled for release after the first of the year.
