Annie Chiu, M.D., Board-Certified Cosmetic and General Dermatologist
A results-driven approach to skincare and cutting-edge advanced technique cosmetic procedures is what Board-Certified Dermatologist Dr. Annie Chiu offers her patients. Dr. Annie Chiu recognizes that healthy, beautiful skin should be attainable for every patient. She specializes in artful, subtle cosmetic rejuvenation with multiple techniques including Botox, fillers, Sculptra, peels, lasers, and tailored cosmeceuticals. Dr. Chiu is nationally recognized as a “master” injector, and is often involved in treating the models used in brochures and marketing campaigns for various fillers, and is in the top 2% in terms of experience in volume of injectable rejuvenation in the country.
Dr. Chiu also practices a full range of medical dermatology, including a multidisciplinary approach to acne, skin cancer diagnosis, and surgical treatments for benign and malignant growths. Dr. Chiu received her medical degree and completed a clinical trials fellowship from Stanford University, and her Bachelor of Science from the UC Berkeley, where she graduated with honors and was a University Medal finalist.
Dr. Chiu gives lectures and teaches advanced cosmetic procedures and techniques throughout the country and internationally, including Hong Kong and Australia. She has also participated in multiple studies on acne, Botox, photoaging, and eczema. She is currently a consultant, trainer and speaker for Allergan, Galderma, SkinMedica, Skinceuticals, Equitance Skincare, and Colorescience Cosmetics. She is the author of numerous publications, book chapters, and review articles. Dr. Chiu is also often a media expert for editors and TV Shows alike, appearing on shows such as The Doctors, and was named a “Skin Genius” in 2015 by Elle Magazine.
Dr. Chiu is also actively involved in the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society. She serves on the AAD Future Leader Panel, Patient Advocacy Taskforce, and co-chairs the Young Physician’s Committee. She believes strongly in patient advocacy and outreach, organizing community awareness and skin cancer screening programs.
