About The Author: A journalist for twenty-five years, PAUL VIGNA is currently a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, covering a range of topics, from the financial markets to bitcoin to his regular column on The Walking Dead. He writes for the popular MoneyBeat blog, and before that he wrote and edited the MarketTalk column for Dow Jones Newswires. He is the author of two books on Bitcoin, both written with colleague Michael J. Casey: the critically acclaimed The Age of Cryptocurrency, published in 2015 by St. Martin’s Press, and the forthcoming The Truth Machine, slated for publication in the winter of 2017.
As the Journal’s resident zombie expert, he is tasked with writing a single piece every week that explores the most recent episode, breaking down the stories, finding out what works, what didn’t, trying to discern the small details that will later turn into large plot points. He has interviewed many of the cast and crew and even moderated a 2015 panel at South by Southwest with creator Robert Kirkman and the team from his production company, Skybound. Through this regular column, he has built up a passionate, dedicated fanbase of Walking Dead readers. Vigna has a bachelor’s degree in English from Fairfield University in Connecticut. A New Jersey native, he lives in Verona, N.J., with his wife, Elizabeth, and their son.
