To make my history local, you might want to know that I graduated from Beverly Vista School and then attended and graduated from Beverly High (1956), as did my brother, Richard, in 1953. I was the student conductor of the Beverly Vista orchestra in 1952.

For help in background information, I am including a copy of my resume. I have been featured in both the alumni magazine of Berkeley Law, Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and the music honorary fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha.

The following is a short form of my background, which may be useful to you:

I graduated from Berkeley Law, Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley in 1963. I taught the tax seminar there for 4 years, ending with 2011. I also passed the CPA exam in 1960, upon graduation from UCLA. I am a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, as well as a Fellow of the College of Fellows, Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria. I have taught at numerous law schools around the United States, as well as in Europe, including Latvia, Czech Republic, and Poland. I was certified as a Tax Specialist by the California State Bar in 1974, which continued through 2014.

Upon my retirement from the practice of tax law in 2008, I went back to music. My piano teacher motivated me to compose music. Good friends motivated me to put the newly composed music into a musical comedy. The first one (Jewish theme of religious grandparents, their daughter and her gentile husband and the two grandchildren) was followed by my quadrilogy (”Butterfly”, “Sophia”, “Renewal, and “All Fall Down”), each having as a star, Jake Kelly, a clinical psychologist.

Though my name is Michael Antin, I have use the psuedonym of Jake Kelly, as the author. I have done so, as in my musical comedy, “Sophia, The Beautiful Woman Syndrome and the Invisible Man”, Jake Kelly is the name of the psychologist, who talks with Sophia about this book.

Jake Kelly is also in the three other of my musicals,”Butterfly”, “Renewal, and “All Fall Down”. “Butterfly” and “Sophia” ran in both NY and LA, and “Sophia” again at the 2013 Manhattan International Theatre Festival, as one of 5 musicals selected for presentation. “Renewal” just completed its NY run last June and is scheduled to run in LA in the spring, 2015. “All Fall Down” is scheduled to open in NY this spring and then come to LA.

Since the book shows Jake Kelly, as the author, Google requires the following entry to find him: “Jake Kelly – Amazon.com”. Using my internet site: MichaelAntin.com, or going to Google under my name, or the name of the book, also locates the book. It is also on Kindle.

I have written one book in my field, “How to Operate Your Trust or Probate”, and contributed to two others. I have published technical articles for over 40 years, about 3-4 per year. Of course, all my tax stuff has been under my name, not the psuedonym. I continue to teach seminars for national seminar companies. I will be doing some in December and in January.
