After months of discussing surrounding Colorado’s decision to remove former President Donald Trump from its statewide ballots based on the 14th Amendment, the Supreme Court has sounded off against this decision.
In a historic vote, the court ruled that Trump is allowed on the ballot, putting an end to the ethical arguments that states have the right to remove him. Once again, they’ve provided the freedom of choice back to the voters.
Colorado had made the hasty decision several months ago, noting that they were using the Amendment in an effort to keep Trump off the ballot, noting his role in the January 6th “insurrection.” However, details on that particular case are still pending, which means Trump should’ve been allowed to stay on the ballot in the first place. The Supreme Court agreed on this matter.
Trump has since commented on the matter, noting “BIG WIN IN AMERICA!”
