Erich Pratt serves in the capacity of Director of Communications for Gun Owners of America (GOA). Shortly after getting an MA from Regent University in Public Policy, Erich went to work for GOA, where he has been employed since 1990. GOA is a national membership organization of 300,000 Americans dedicated to promoting their 2nd Amendment freedom to keep and bear arms.

GOA lobbies for the pro-gun position in Washington, D.C., and is involved in firearm issues in the states. GOA’s work includes providing legal assistance to those involved in lawsuits with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the federal firearms law enforcement agency.

Erich Pratt has appeared on numerous national radio and TV programs such as NBC’s Today Show, MSNBC, CNN and Fox Cable News. His columns have appeared in newspapers across the country, including USA Today.

In addition to authoring a book, Bearing Arms: Our Rights, Our Duties & Our Freedoms, Erich is the author of a civil government textbook, The Constitutional Recipe for Freedom: Twelve Principles of Liberty Today’s Politicians Don’t Want You to Know.

Erich Pratt and his wife, Stacy, have eleven children.
