Jefferson Grizzard is a Nashville, Tennessee based singer/songwriter. He released his first album;”A Crack in the Door”, on Back Porch Syndicate Records in 2011. His new release;” Learning How To Lie”, also on Back Porch Syndicate Records is available now.
Recent performances have landed him in Hollywood, Cal., as well as New York City, as his story grows. Grizzard is a true “wordsmith,” eschewing the current state of popular songwriting. Bits of Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits emerge at times, as he weaves together his unique brand of storytelling with melodies and influences of days gone by.
His music is hard to categorize, as he floats seamlessly between tortured ballads and blues to apocalyptic hard rock. He is currently touring to support the new release in the U.S and Europe. throughout 2013 and into 2014.
