WHO IS WELL HUNG HEART?
Well Hung Heart first formed in 2011 as a mix of swaggering rock and roll, nasty blues riffs and punk sensibilitiesdescribed as a “blues-laced crossroads between The Kills and early Stooges”. Formed in California years afterLouisiana-grown vocalist/songwriter/performance artist Greta Valenti first met British blues guitarist Robin Davey via a YouTube music competition. The two joined forces when their previous bands had dissolved, causing internet raucous and popularity with their first glam-inspired single/music video for “The Music Made Me Do it”. Their reckless and raw performances, have earned the band numerous awards, tours throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Europe, performances at major Festivals (SXSW, Warped Tour, Rocklahoma and more) and opening slots with acts like The Offspring, Linkin Park, Fitz & The Tantrums, Ozzy Osbourne, Awolnation, and Alice Cooper.
In 2015, the self-titled EP, “Well Hung Heart”, showcased a marvelous evolution of the band with a beautifulcombination of melody and heavy groove, (in the vein of Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood) earning them 16 weeks of airplay (6 weeks at #1) on KROQ FM’s Locals Only Show and launching them into visibility as Rock artists to watch. Since 2016, the group evolved from a three piece into a foursome, solidifying the lineup by adding Southern California rock-solid punk bassist Danielle “Chip” Lehman and dynamic powerhouse drummer and Tulsa native, Brad Jones who the group met while touring extensively throughout the Midwest, United States. Well Hung Heart is currently recording their debut full-length album as a four-piece with a Summer 2018 release.
