The Squarshers

May 13, 2017 • 7:30 pm

From their hard hitting stompy southern grooves to their fast chucking in your face brand of string music, The Squarshers are ready to throwdown! They are quite a spectacle, with a stage presence that matches their musical intensity. This self proclaimed “groovegrass” band pulls heavily from funk and jam styles. Swooning fiddle melodies and breakneck banjo licks combine to make a musical storm that doesn’t let up. When it rains it pours and when it’s pouring groovegrass all you can do is dance.

Tickets: (General Admission) $7 advanced tickets $10 day of show.

(Price Includes Preservation FEE)
The Squarshers hail from Fayetteville, Arkansas. The band now calls Fayetteville home but the members come from different cities across the midwest. McPherson Kansas is well represented in the group with two members having grown up there. Those two are John Henry and Brennan Johnson. The Squarshers are Patrick Calaway on upright bass, John Henry on acoustic guitar, Brennan Johnson on drums, Chris Crovella on Banjo and Dylan Hawf on fiddle.
