The Cook Political Report recently downgraded the Virginia Governor’s race from “leans Democrat” to “toss-up.” This is not good news, but it’s also not surprising; we knew this was going to be a tough fight.

I could not repeat this enough: Virginia’s gubernatorial race is critical to the future of the Commonwealth and the future of the country. For Democrats, it’s also a major test ahead of next year’s midterm elections. What we accomplish in Virginia will show what we can achieve across the country.

With early voting officially underway and polls showing a virtual tie, I’m asking you to do everything you can, right now, to help my friend Terry McAuliffe win.
